Reporting means telling us about something that may be harmful, mean, unsafe, or against our community guidelines. You can report a post, a message, or a person. But please use this feature with care – it’s there for serious problems. If you’re not sure, ask someone you trust or a Guide.
Reporting means telling us if something on the platform feels unsafe, mean, harmful, or wrong.
You can report a:
- Post
- Message
- Person
You should report something if:
- Someone is being bullying or mean
- Something is making you feel unsafe or scared
- You see something that breaks the rules or might hurt others
- You should not report something just because:
- You disagree with someone’s opinion
- You’re in a personal argument that doesn’t involve safety
What reporting does not mean:
Reporting is not for things that you simply don’t like or find annoying. It’s not a tool for complaining about things that upset you in a small way or because you don’t agree with what someone is saying.
- You should not use the report tool when:
- You are having a disagreement or argument with someone, unless it involves bullying, harassment, or other harmful behaviour.
- You see something you don’t like, but it isn’t breaking any rules or making others feel unsafe.
- You are upset by a post that isn’t meant to harm or hurt anyone, but just doesn’t agree with your own views.
Why reporting shouldn’t be mistaken for these things:
Reporting is a serious tool for safety and wellbeing. It’s important to use it properly to make sure the platform stays a safe and supportive place for everyone. If it’s used for small disagreements or things that don’t break the rules, it can make it harder for us to focus on things that are really unsafe or harmful.
Using reporting in the wrong way might cause unnecessary stress for the person being reported and could slow down how we handle real issues.
What happens when I report something?
A trained person will look at what you reported.
We’ll decide what to do — we might remove it, talk to the person, or take further steps. Your name will be kept private.
Reporting is a serious tool.
Please only use it when something is truly wrong. If you’re unsure, speak to a trusted person firs
