Big Life Adventure is proud and excited to be hosting Disability Pride on Friday 11 July, from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Memorial Gardens, Crawley.
This fantastic community event is all about celebrating people with learning disabilities, autism, and other disabilities, bringing everyone together for a day of fun, inclusion, and pride.
Disability Pride began in Boston, USA, as a movement to promote equality, independence, inclusion, and a sense of belonging for people with disabilities. Our event embraces those same values, creating a welcoming space where everyone can come together to celebrate disability, individuality, and community.
The Deputy Mayor of Crawley will officially open the event at 10:00am and will meet the many stallholders who are joining us for the day. A variety of organisations from across the care and support sector will be showcasing the incredible work they do to support people in their communities. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see some of the amazing handmade products created by the people they support.
There will be plenty to enjoy throughout the day, including:
🎨 Face painting
🎯 Games and activities
📿 Bracelet making
🪵 Woodworking gifts
🎪 Community stalls
🎵 Live music and entertainment
✨ And much more!
We’re also delighted to have DJ Kizza providing music throughout the event. If you have a favourite song, don’t be shy – send in your requests and get ready to dance!
Whether you’re attending with friends, family, or on your own, we invite everyone to come along, get involved, and celebrate the diversity, talents, achievements, and contributions of people with disabilities.
We look forward to seeing you there for a day filled with fun, friendship, and Disability Pride!
